Summer is the busiest time of the year in our town β†’ Everything is open and bustling with activity, making it the perfect time for a summer vacation.

There are plenty of exciting things to do β†’ such as boating, swimming, waterskiing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, campfires, marshmallow roasting, white-water rafting, golfing, scenic railroad rides, concerts, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, jet skiing, paddle boarding, movies, shopping, visiting the art center, and enjoying our local theme and water park and family fun center.

The Fulton Chain of Lakes β†’ runs right through the heart of Old Forge where we have several rental homes on the shores of this stunning group of lakes. Spending summer vacation at the lake is a perfect way to enjoy your time. So, make your summer an β€œADK” Summer!

Fall

Fall in our town is full of beautiful fall colors this time of year β†’ The colors of red, yellow, orange, brown, and green combine to make a beautiful work of art.

The 90-Miler race marks the beginning of our fall season β†’ Paddlers embark on a 75-mile journey through the heart of the Adirondack wilderness, starting from our town at the Fulton Chain of Lakes in Old Forge and heading north. It’s a great time to enjoy mountain biking and hunting in the ADKs.

Winter

When winter rolls around β†’ Old Forge transforms into a Winter Wonderland with a beautiful white blanket covering the town. With more than 500 miles of trails for snowmobiling, Old Forge is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts.

If you stay in one of our rentals β†’ you can easily snowmobile to and from your rental. Besides snowmobiling, you can enjoy sledding, skiing at McCauley Mountain (both downhill and cross-country), snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating, fat tire biking, watching movies, having campfires, roasting marshmallows, hiking, and more.

Spring is a wonderful time to enjoy the beauty of nature β†’ The trees are adorned with new, bright green leaves, and baby fawns can be spotted in the woods. The birds are also chirping away, adding to the serene environment.
