  • Check-in days are either Friday or Saturday in the summer depending on the home.  During Fall and Winter, call ahead for your check-in times

  • Key Pick-Up- Upon arrival at Old Forge, you need to go to Julie Liddle’s Adirondack Vacation Rental Homes Inc. office located at 2973 State Rt. 28 (Main Street) Old Forge. (In the Webb building)  If you are traveling north, the building is on the left-hand side just past KeyesPancake House on the corner.  It is a brown building on the corner.

  • What It Takes to Make a Reservation – You will need to call Julie Liddle’s Adirondack Vacation Rental Office @ 315-369-6321
  • Payment – Only personal checks and money orders will be accepted for all money transactions please make checks payable to: Julie Liddle.

  •   Sorry, no Credit Cards

  • Garbage – All garbage must be removed from the home at the time of your departure.  If garbage is left, there will be a $25.00 per bag fee to remove it.  Please make sure all garbage in and outside the home is in a recycled manner and in clear garbage bags.  All garbage then needs to be taken to the Transfer Station located in Old Forge at 300  McCauley Mountain Road or on Limekiln Road for Inlet guests.  Both are open during the week and on your departure date.  Garbage may also be put out on Garbage Day in the morning only for Old Forge renters. Do not put trash out in the evening before as this may attract all kinds of wildlife and a very big mess.  If garbage is torn apart for any reason, it is the renter’s responsibility to clean up the area. Unfortunately, the town of Inlet does not have a garbage pick-up day.

  • Cancellation Policy – If you should need to cancel your reservation at any time, the rental agent will do their best to rebook the same time period you had originally booked with another renter. If the agent is unsuccessful in renting the same time period to another renter,  the rental deposit will be forfeited. The full amount of the original reservation needs to be re-booked.  Partial times do not count as the full booking and there is no refund for partial bookings.

If the agent is able to rebook the same time period with another renter, there will be a $100.00 cancellation fee.   This fee will be deducted from your original rental deposit and the remainder will be mailed back to you.

  • Rental Homes Listed For Sale – You may have rented a home through Julie Liddle’s Adirondack Vacation Rental Homes that may be listed For Sale through a real estate office. During your stay, an agent may call to ask if they can show the property. They will only do this if they can’t make arrangements for a showing to take place during the turnover time of Friday or Saturday depending on the home. The Agents will try their best not to disturb you in any way. We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

  • Internet Connection – Most of our homes offer a WIFI connection. But the connections are not always guaranteed.  Wifi does go out in this area and when it does it doesn’t always come right back on. Please note that if your home says it offers WIFI it is NOT GUARANTEED.  You can go to the local library in Old Forge on Crosby Blvd. or to Point Park in Old Forge in the center of town to get WIFI service but this too is not guaranteed. Your in the Adirondacks Wifi doesn’t always work.

  • Amenities – Each home is privately owned & offers different amenities. They are all equipped with basic cooking and eating utensils, small appliances, pillows, and basic cleaning supplies. Availability of TV, cable, radio, WIFI, phone, BBQ, washer & dryer, lawn and deck furniture, picnic table, outside fire pits, outside furniture, firewood, etc. varies from property to property and sometimes things change so amenities to each of these privately owned home are not guaranteed.

  • If the home offers a gas grill, the only way to deal with propane usage is as follows, Each home has one propane tank.  If for some reason the propane goes out during your stay, you will need to go to the local store to do a propane exchange or Helmers fuel to have the tank filled.  Please keep the receipt and leave it with the key upon your departure.  When your damage deposit is returned to you, I will refund the money you paid to have the tank filled.  Sorry for the inconvenience however, this is the only way to deal with this without leaving full bottles of propane sitting at each home.

  • Renters will need to bring their own sheets and towels, (bath, kitchen, beach) and clear garage bags as well as paper products to each of the rental homes. These items need to be brought by the renter. Bed sizes will be given to you as well as info on garbage. The rental homes do offer pillows and a comforter for each bed. Please note, we are unable to do laundry on turnover days so pillows and comforters are not cleaned after each stay.

  • If the home offers a fireplace or fire pit,   Firewood will have to be purchased by the renter in the area. There are stands selling firewood around town and the quick stops sell it as well. Fires are to be kept under control.  Outdoor fires and ashes must be doused with water if you plan to leave the fire unattended.  Outdoor fires are not permitted unless there is a designated spot for them.  Fires made in indoor fireplaces are to be kept small.  Do not burn pine in indoor fireplaces or woodstoves.  Know the location of fire extinguishers. Do not cut down any trees/limbs on the property for firewood again these are privately owned homes and the owners do not want anything cut and burned on the property.

  • Sorry No Pets or Smoking – This does not mean the home is allergy/smoke-free, no pets or smoking are allowed in any of our rental homes by our rental guests.  We do have a local kennel in the area if you need it. Please be kind to the owner’s property. Treat it as you would your own.
