Old Forge is a recreational oasis located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Old Forge thrives off it’s wonderful water way we call the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Spring – Ah, Spring, everything is new.  New bright green leaves on the trees, baby fawn in the woods and birds chirping away.  Spring is finally in the air and everything is warming up! Summer  – Summer is our towns busy season! Everything is open and hopping in summer! It is the perfect town for your summer vacation! Area activities include boating, swimming, waterskiing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, campfires, marshmallows, white-water rafting, camping, golfing, scenic railroad rides, concerts, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, jet skiing, paddle boarding, movies, shopping, art center, our local theme and water park, our local Family Fun Center, go carts, fitness center, and so much more! The Fulton Chain of Lakes run right through the middle of Old Forge and several of our rental homes are situated on the shores of this beautiful group of lakes. Winter – Our town becomes a Winter Wonderland once December rolls around. Old Forge is well known for it’s over 500 miles of trails that are used each year for snowmobiling! Snowmobile to and from your rental if you stay in one of our rentals! Winter in Old Forge is also great for sledding, X – country & downhill sking at McCauley Mountain (known as the best little Mt. in Central New York), snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating, fat tire biking, movies, campfires, marshmallows, hiking, and more! You will not want to miss out on our “Winter Wonderland”.

Fall –  Our town is well known for its world famous 75 mile canoe race, The 90-Miler. This race kicks off our fall season! The paddlers travel through the heart of the Adirondack wilderness, with it all beginning here at the start of the Fulton Chain of Lakes in Old Forge. Fall is also a great mountain biking and hunting season here in the ADK’s. Stay with us and you’re already in the woods! Fall is also a very beautiful season for hiking, camping, art festivals, going for a drive, walks, bike rides, canoeing, kayaking, and more!
